Introduction

Over the past several years I’ve made it my mission to educate my clients and the world on writing, publishing, and marketing. My original focus was cookbooks, but that has expanded to include gardening, inspirational, self-help and natural living books. I’ve developed several media properties, which cater to many different audiences, including: a blog network, books, eBooks, teleseminars, membership site, videos, articles and most recently – a publishing company.  By reviewing the content and the various sites you will be one step ahead in your writing career, while being part of a community that can support you as you grow.

LauraDenktash: Newly revised magazine-style site that pulls everything together. You get news about writing, writing programs, publishing news, branding for authors, the author’s platform, recipes, upcoming books, and new projects. BalancedRockPress: Balanced Rock Press is a growing independent publishing company. We publish traditional books, eBooks,  audio books and information products. We are interested in first-time authors who are in need of developing their manuscripts, proposals, and/or an Internet Marketing and Online Presence. We offer complete services including online packages, writing, editing, and posting. We also offer consulting, book evaluation, coaching and mentoring, developmental editing, and ghost writing. IACBW: The International Association of Cookbook Writers was established in 2009 as a membership site and organization. The IACBW invites anyone who dreams of writing their own cookbook to connect with us to learn, and become truly focused and inspired about writing, publishing, and marketing a cookbook. Writing a cookbook can open many new doors, and we will show you how to navigate successfully in today’s rapidly changing market. The goal of our organization is to offer training and encouragement to cookbook writers so they feel empowered and energized to develop their cookbook idea and bring it forth into the marketplace. We support their efforts with education, resources, and community.

JustBeBrilliant: BRILLIANCE 101 is a personal development program that utilizes the ‘101 Qualities of Brilliance’ you’ll need to develop to take your business and personal life to the next level. I identified these ‘101 Qualities of Brilliance’ over the course of 2 years following a lay-off from my corporate job in March of 2009. I plunged into my entrepreneurial life and began to notice all of the qualities that were necessary for me to succeed. Overwhelmed at times, I realized I needed to be many things, and be good at them if I was to be successful and survive. CookbookAdvertiser: I created this space for you, the independent cookbook authors of the world! It wasn’t too long ago that I published my first cookbook, The Rose Cookbook – a Treasury of Rose Recipes from Around the World. That was in 2007. I was really excited to have my cookbook in my hand…but guess what…I didn’t have a website to showcase my book.  Now what? I lost a lot of precious time and I remember thinking that I should have taken care of that while I was waiting for my book to be printed. That’s why I created the Cookbook Advertiser.

CookbookCoach: A website dedicated to helping those who want to write a cookbook. Whether you are a professional chef, personal chef, restaurant owner, nutritionist, personal trainer of someone who loves to cook, you can benefit from the information, advice, and coaching programs shared at this site. The program is designed for those who wish to self-publish their first cookbook.
